SERVICE
The dept. of Family & Community Medicine is commited to:
1. The delivery of quality first contact care and to oversee the operation
of the ambulatory health care facilities, out patient services & community-based
programs of the hospital.
2. To the advocacy of health maintenance and disease prevention centered
to the patient as a person and his family as the unit of care.
3. The empowerment of patients and their families to be guardian of health
and the environment.
TRAINING
The dept. of Family & Community Medicine is commited
1. To train future practitioners who shall be experts in primary level
of care, who shall be aware in the management of secondary and tertiary
cases.
2. In upholding standards of Family & Community Medicine Education
and in providing oppurtunity for academic excellence for the trainees.
3. The provision of an environment supportive to teaching primary care
physicians and other primary health care providers already serving in
the network of the Dept. of Health.
RESEARCH
The dept. of Family & Community Medicine is commited to provide technical
support and oppurtunity for research focused on the family and the community.
