Guidelines

  • Medicines and drugs should be written in Generic name on official prescription daily signed by Resident Physician with their license number.

  • All prescription should pass the Pharmacy for checking and pricing of the medicines and drugs available.

  • The quantity of medicines prescribed both oral and parenteral should be good for 24 hours.

  • Dangerous drugs and Prohibited drugs shall be disposed only upon receipt of duly signed prescription form issued by the DDB. DDB Form no. 1-72.

  • Regulated Drugs such as Nalbuphine ampule, Midazolam ampule, Phenorbarbital ampule and tablet should be written on the Regulated Prescription signed only by Anesthesiologist and Senior Resident Physician.

  • Restricted antibiotics such as 2nd generation, 3rd generation Cephalosporins, Aminoglycosides and Quinolones should be written on the Official Restricted Antibiotics form. 4th generation Antibiotics needs for approval of the Infectious Control Committee.
