Post-mortem care should be done after the Nephro resident physician
assigned in the unit pronounced that the ;patient is already dead.
Accurate charting should be done including all medications given ,
especially during the resuscitation time.
See to it that the patient chart is complete including the final
diagnosis.
Write all pertinent information on tags in triplicate copy and attached
it to the patient's right hand and foot and on the chest area outside
the linen before transporting to morgue.
The Hemotechnician/ nursing attendant is responsible in transporting
patient's body to the morgue
HDU nurse may help the patient to facilitate on how to secure the
death certificate. Out patient death certificate should be processed
in the City Health's Office
