Policies Regarding Resident-Physicians-In-Charge
- The resident in charge make a written order for all procedures or
medications administered to the patient.
- Resident physicians are required to prescribe the medications needed
by the patient.
- Medical resident assigned in the unit has a right to change the frequency
of the procedure as deemed necessary.
- Resident physician should stay in the unit most of the time or if
problem arises wherein the said physician can't be in the unit , must
delegate or endorse the unit to other physician
- The resident physician should assess the patient before, during and
after the procedure.
- The resident-in charge is liable to whatever happens to the patient
before, during and after the procedure even if he's not around.
- The Nephrology resident should refer to the consultant for further
management of the patient on dialysis as need arises.
- The medical resident shall at all times , keep the current listing
of the patint's status in the unit.
- Nephro resident physicians in charge of hemodialyis unit should complete
the doctor's note / order.
