Services
The orthopedics department has sixty-five bed capacity in the ward 35
orthopedic bed.
- Trauma - treatment of fractures and dislocation of joints, long bones,
and spine secondary to fall, vehicular accidents, hacking, etc.
- Infectious - treatment of infected bones, joints or spine
- Tumors - limb salvaging and life-saving
- Clubfoot clinic - under the memorandum agreement between the hospital
and the Filipinas Shrine Club Davao Chapter, the department offers free
services and supplies to clubfoot patients.

- Limb lengthening and Reconstruction ( llizarrov Method )
- Pediatric Orthopedic
- Adult / Joint Replacement / Sports Medicine
- Arthritis clinic - the department offers outpatient screening and
care for arthritic patients weekly.
- Scoliosis screening
The department has also linked up with the Masonic Charity for Crippled
Children which shoulder all expenses related to the hospitalization and
surgery of children afflicted with osteomyelitis, polio, and congenital
deformities.
Recently, Davao Medical Center has linked an agreement with Jerome Foundation
for surgery of croppled children in this hospital.
In the future, the department is planning to create Mindanao Spine Trauma
Center / llizarov L-L unit.
